Techno (Musical genre): The rise of “Techno”

Techno is a genre of electronic dance Music. It is known by a containing beat produced with DJ set. The rhythm is common time (4/4), and the tempo varies between 120 and 150 beats per minute (bpm). Techno Music instruments are drum machines, sequencers, and synthesizers, and also digital audio workstations.


The “techno” is believed to have originated in Germany in the early 1980s, After the UK release of the 1988 compilation Techno!, it was established as genre of electronic dance music in Detroit, it was seen as a The New Dance Sound of Detroit.

It Stylistic origins was House, electro, synth-pop, Italo disco, Hi-NRG, Chicago house, EBM, New Beat, Detroit techno, with its Cultural origins in the  Mid-1980s, Detroit, Michigan, United States. It also have Subgenres like Acid techno, ambient techno, dub techno, hardcore techno, industrial techno, and minimal techno.

It also has Fusion genres like Electroclash, Eurodance, ghettotech, hardvapour, IDM, techstep, techstyle, trance and tech house, the Regional scenes was in Detroit techno.

Techno Music grew in popular in the Germany, UK, Belgium and the Netherlands, after the success of house music in a number of European countries.
